Matúš Maťátko
Matúš Maťátko, a Slovak illustrator and painter born in 1984, painted the April 2017 bottles of Absolut Slovak Art. A graduate in illustration and free graphics from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, the artist is known for bold graphic outlines drawn from comics, street art and subculture, for the picture book The Lapin Family from the Airport, named among the most beautiful books of Slovakia, and for Angels, a 17-metre mural on Mariánska street in Bratislava. The five bottles were painted by hand, each one unique. Three went to fans through a Facebook giveaway, one stayed with Absolut's Slovak team for display, and the last was auctioned in February 2018, each with a certificate of authenticity.
