Snap it, and the catalogue finds it

A camera now sits at the end of the catalogue's search field, and of the search in the phone menu. Photograph an edition — one item, facing you, filling the frame — and the site compares it with every picture in the catalogue: the closest match first, the others just behind. None of them? Signed in, let AI read the label for you. And when you confirm the right one, you may let us keep your photo: it is never shown to anyone, and it teaches the search to spot that edition.

The catalogue is yours to complete

Every record now takes what you know. Open a bottle, fill in what is missing — the print run, the markets, the year — and say what you base it on: a photograph of the one in your hands, a link, or simply what you know and where from. An edition the catalogue has never heard of can be described from nothing. Nothing goes live before it is read, and your contributions page says what was kept, and why the rest was not.

Write to another collector

A Messages icon now sits beside the bell. Write to a collector from their profile, or from a line of the Trading Post: the edition you are asking about rides along with your message. Add up to four photos and see when you have been read. A new message reaches you by push notification, and by email if it stays unread for a quarter of an hour — choose which in your notification settings.

Share your wanted list and your trade list

A Share button now sits on both lists. On a phone, it hands a ready-made story picturing your editions to Instagram, WhatsApp or whatever you post with, and copies the link at the same time. On a computer, copy the link, download the picture, or scan the QR code to carry on from your phone. Whoever opens the link lands on your public list.

The collectors page now has a map beside its list. Every country holding a collector is tinted, the deeper the more of them there are, and carries a bubble saying how many — zoom in and the crowd over Europe comes apart into named countries. Under the map, the same countries ranked: a row leads to everyone who collects there.

Hear about it the moment a bottle you want is offered

A bell now sits at the top of every page. It rings when a collector offers a bottle from your wanted lists, or starts following you — as it happens, without reloading. Choose in your profile what should also reach you by email, and turn on push notifications to hear about it even with the site closed.

Count your collection in your own currency

Your account now carries a currency, set from your country and changed whenever you like. Every amount you type is read in it — and when a bottle was paid for in another, you say so on the spot: the addition keeps the currency it was bought in.

Pick a bottle in your collection and say what you would part with it for — a trade, a sale, or both — and it lands on the Trading Post, where everyone's offers gather. Search it, keep only what is on your wanted lists, and write to whoever holds the one you are after.
