Viliam Slaminka
Viliam Slaminka, born in 1985 and a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, painted the June 2017 bottles of Absolut Slovak Art. The work spans painting, comics, illustration and teaching, draws on popular culture and current social issues, and leans on simplicity, stylisation, colour and play. The five bottles were painted by hand, each one unique. Three went to fans through a Facebook giveaway, one stayed with Absolut's Slovak team for display, and the last was auctioned in February 2018, each with a certificate of authenticity.
