Copper Owl

Copper Owl is the owl-shaped cocktail cup Absolut Elyx added to its Boutique's 2019 winter collection, a vessel of about 365 ml covered in finely detailed feathers. Elyx presented it as a take on Swedish nature, the owl standing for wisdom and watchfulness, and sold it in a gift box among the 24 pieces of that Christmas collection, which also went to a pop-up at Magasin du Nord in Copenhagen in December 2019. The design was not new: an owl cup had already been serving drinks at the House of Elyx in 2015. Like the other Elyx vessels, it is made of copper-plated brass sealed with a food-safe lacquer; it stands about 19 cm tall, weighs close to 1.3 kg and is meant to be washed by hand.
