Little Rock painter Susan Chambers, known for bold, densely stitched garden scenes, makes the bottle the glowing trunk of a backyard tree, framed by heart-shaped leaves and a low wire fence. Around it gather the ornaments of a Southern lawn: a bearded gnome among pink flowers, a birdbath holding a crystal ball and a concrete elephant raising its trunk to the basin. Carillon Importers, Absolut's American importer, is still listed among the collections that hold her work.
