Carnaval

Absolut Carnaval is a series of neoprene bottle skins made in Brazil for the 2013 Carnaval season. Neoprene was chosen for use rather than looks: it keeps the bottle cold for around two hours, which suits a street party. The designs draw on the cities that celebrate, setting landmarks such as the Niterói Contemporary Art Museum in Rio de Janeiro or the Octávio Frias de Oliveira bridge in São Paulo among graphic silhouettes of palm trees, birds and city blocks. A Carnaval skin is a working object first, made to be worn at the party rather than kept on a shelf.
