India

Absolut India is a run of limited-edition bottles dedicated to India, begun in 2015 with a mango and pepper flavour. The first bottle was launched by Pernod Ricard India through the duty-free shops of Delhi and Mumbai. Its artwork, by the Mumbai artist Shaheen Baig, was picked through a crowdsourced contest and draws on eighteenth-century Indian decorative art, while the flavour pairs the national fruit with the country's spices. Later bottles kept the same spirit, handing the glass to Indian artists and building the design from the country's own emblems, wildlife and ideas.

The first India bottle, with artwork by Shaheen Baig of Mumbai, drawing on eighteenth-century Indian decorative art for what she called a colourful cocktail of a country.
