Chrome

Absolut Chrome is a series of bottles wrapped in a mirror-finish plastic foil over the standard blue label bottle. The idea is simple: a reflective sleeve turns the familiar silhouette into a mirror, so the bottle picks up whatever surrounds it. Each design plays a variation on that sleeve, and the bottles were made for European markets, chiefly France and Germany, where versions differ in small details such as the presence of the medallion. For a collector, Chrome shows how far a single material can carry a bottle without touching the glass itself.

  1. Chrome #3 2006 · 1 variant The third of the four Chromes, a mirrored plastic foil over a standard blue label bottle, made for the German market.
  2. Chrome #1 2005 · 2 variants The first of the Chrome set: a mirror-finish plastic foil over a standard blue label bottle. Two versions circulate — the French one without a medallion, the German one with.
  3. Chrome #2 2005 · 2 variants The second Chrome, again a mirrored plastic foil over a blue label bottle, and again in two versions: French without medallion, German with.
  4. Chrome #4 2005 · 1 variant The fourth and last Chrome, a mirrored plastic foil over a standard blue label bottle.
