Craft

Absolut Craft was a small-batch line of vodkas made in 2013 for bartenders rather than for shop shelves. The mixologist Nick Strangeway developed the recipes with Absolut from natural, fully traceable ingredients, and the bottles went out in limited allocations to selected bars, in the UK, Sweden, the United States and Germany among others. The idea was to hand the bar trade something closer to an ingredient than a finished flavour, each vodka built on an unexpected pairing: herbs rather than fruit, smoke drawn from tea, bitterness set against sweetness. It marks a rare moment when Absolut spoke to the cocktail trade on its own terms.

    Craft – Bitter Cherry

    2013 · 3 variants

Absolut Craft was made for the back of the bar rather than the shelf: three small-batch expressions by the mixologist Nick Strangeway, on natural and fully traceable ingredients, sent to selected bars only. Bitter Cherry is the darkest of the three. Some 27,000 litres were produced across the range.
