Cut

Absolut Cut is a ready-to-drink range of sparkling vodka mixers sold in its own clear, etched bottle. Launched in 2004, first in Canada, it kept the neck and shoulders of the Absolut silhouette and cut lines into the glass, the name playing both on a spirit cut with water and on being a cut above. Each flavour was a light sparkling mix built on fruit, from citrus to apple and lime, sold in markets such as Canada, Australia and the UK, some of them only briefly. The line was later discontinued, which leaves its bottles as traces of an early Absolut venture into ready-to-drink.

  1. Cut Clear 2005 · 1 variant Absolut Cut was a ready-to-drink line in its own glass — the neck and shoulders of the Absolut bottle, with cuts etched into the body, the name playing on a spirit that has been cut and on being a cut above. Clear is the sparkling citrus one, mandarin and kiwi. It ran from 2004 in Canada, Australia and the UK before being discontinued.
  2. Cut Crisp 2005 · 1 variant The apple-and-lime member of the Absolut Cut range — sparkling, in the 330 ml bottle with cuts etched into the glass. Sold in Canada, Australia and the UK before the line was discontinued.
  3. Cut Sharp 2005 · 1 variant Sparkling grapefruit and cranberry, in the etched Cut bottle. It surfaced only in Ontario, and only briefly.
  4. Cut 2004 · 3 variants A ready-to-drink line in its own bottle: the neck and shoulders of the Absolut silhouette, with cuts etched into the body and the whole thing in clear glass. The name plays both ways — a spirit that has been cut, and a cut above. The first flavour was sparkling citrus, on lime, orange and mandarin, and it appeared at two strengths, 5.5% with grey text under the logo and 7% with blue.
