Drop of Love
Absolut Drop of Love is the 2018 end-of-year edition, built around the word love written in many languages. As a response to hate, Absolut collected placards from protests around the world, extracted their ink and reused it to print the outline of the bottle at the centre of the design, on glass that was 70% recycled. Love runs across the pink and mint glass in sixteen languages, and the medallion carries a white bleeding heart, swapped for a rainbow heart on the Pride version. Where rules forbid emotive wording on a bottle, the design became Drop of Change, with love replaced by One Source, One Community, One Superb Vodka.

The mint half of Drop of Change, the version of Drop of Love made for dark markets, where regulation bars any wording on a bottle that could read as emotional. Love comes off the glass and “One Source, One Community, One Superb Vodka” goes on in its place.

The word Love runs across the glass in sixteen languages around a pink silhouette of the bottle at the centre; the medallion carries a white bleeding heart, and a Pride variant replaces it with a rainbow one. This is the mint half — the pink one completes the set.
