Lime

Absolut Lime arrived in 2017 as the brand's first new flavour in four years, almost three decades after Citron. Lime proved hard to get right: Absolut's sensory director Per Hermansson called it the toughest complexity he had resolved in a thirty-year career of flavoured vodkas, and the goal was a fresh, full-bodied lime rather than a sweet or artificial one. It launched in the United States in February 2017 before reaching other markets. The bottle has since followed the rest of the range through its redesigns, down to the 2021 version with handwritten wording and Country of Sweden moved into the glass.

  2. 2017

Lime 6 variants Nearly thirty years after Citron, Absolut finally settled on a lime. It took some doing — the brand's sensory director called lime the hardest complexity he had had to resolve in a thirty-year career — and the result is fresh and full-bodied on freshly pressed fruit, naturally flavoured with no sugar added. It was the first new flavour in four years.
