Tack

Absolut Tack bottles were thank-you gifts that were never sold, tack being Swedish for thanks. The idea began in 2008, when the Absolut brand passed to Pernod Ricard: around 1,800 copies were given to the staff of Maxxium, the distributor that had handled the brand. Later Tack bottles kept the same purpose on new designs, each one a private gesture from the company to the people who had worked for it. Because they went to staff rather than shops, they surface rarely, and the rarest were painted by hand, bottle by bottle, by the Swedish painter Astrid Sylwan, so that no two are alike.

  1. Tack France 2019 · 1 variant Ten bottles for the staff of Pernod Ricard France. The agency Happytear brought in the Swedish painter Astrid Sylwan, who painted each one by hand in her own style — so no two are alike.
  2. Tack #2 2015 · 1 variant The second Tack bottle, on a new design.
  3. Tack #1 2008 · 1 variant Tack is Swedish for thank you. Around 1,800 of these went to the staff of Maxxium in 2008, as the Absolut brand passed to Pernod Ricard. It was never sold.
