Elyx
Absolut Elyx is the premium vodka Absolut introduced in 2010, made from single-estate wheat and distilled in a copper column still dating from 1921. The wheat comes from the Råbelöf estate in southern Sweden, farmed since the 1400s, and the still in Åhus is worked by hand. Copper runs through the line from the still to the label: the bottle has been reworked several times, growing taller and narrower, trading its printed text for a copper label and, in 2019, moving to faceted glass that is 40% recycled. Elyx has also come in tins and musical or lit presentation pieces.
Elyx #6
2024 · 5 variants
Glass similar to V5, but the labels (body and neck) are now in blue, and the word 'Absolut' was removed from it. 42.3% ABV
Elyx #5
2019 · 8 variants
The 2019 redesign, in glass that is 40% recycled. The bottle is faceted so it catches light the way the copper does — a nod to the 1921 column still that the whole product is built around.
Elyx Sparkling Twilight
2019 · 3 variants
A copper damask pattern in the newer Elyx idiom, set over a disc in the base: lit from below, the bottle throws a blue cast up through the glass.
Elyx Musical Tin 2017 · 1 variant Limited edition metal case with a bottle of Absolut Elyx Vodka 750ml inside.
This tin plays the classic French song “La Vie en Rose” once you have rotated the bottom of the tin.
Pineapple
2015 · 2 variants
Absolut Elyx's copper pineapple, which the brand called its Pineapple of Hospitality and the flagship of its copper barware, is a pineapple-shaped drinking vessel in copper-plated brass, sealed with a food-safe lacquer and meant to be sipped through a straw. It launched in November 2015 with a pop-up water truck that toured New York, Los Angeles and Miami, each vessel sold providing a month of safe water to someone in need, and was later joined by a mini version sold as a set of three.
Elyx #4
2013 · 8 variants
The fourth Elyx puts the logo in an off-white panel in copper lettering, over the words “Single Estate Handcrafted Vodka”, with the L.O. Smith medallion at the lower left of the front. It was bottled at two strengths, 40% and 42.3%.
Elyx #3
2012 · 4 variants
The third Elyx keeps the graphics of the second on a taller, narrower bottle, with “Handcrafted Vodka” printed at the base.
Elyx Tin 2012 · 1 variant Limited edition metal case drawing on the design elements of the Elyx bottle from that period.
Elyx #2
2011 · 4 variants
The second Elyx bottle strips the glass of text: a copper label, the L.O. Smith medallion printed directly on the bottle, and “Absolut since 1879” at the base.
Elyx #1
2010 · 3 variants
Absolut's premium line, and a deliberate step backwards in method: hand-selected single-estate wheat from Råbelöf Castle, where wheat has been grown since the 1400s, distilled by hand in a vintage all-copper rectification column. Every valve and handle is set manually, and the copper catalyses trace compounds out of the spirit, which is where the silky texture comes from. Seed to bottle happens within fifteen miles of the distillery at Åhus.
