Masquerade

Absolut Masquerade is the 2008 end-of-year skin: 3,238 soft red spangles sewn into the shape of the bottle, with a zip up the back. Unzipping the cloth releases the bottle, and the skin can be kept and reused, which made it as much an object as a package. It was sold worldwide in several sizes, and collectors tell its versions apart by the banderole. Some markets gave it a twist of their own: France dressed it in silver rather than red and fitted it over the flavoured vodkas of the time.
