Peppar

Absolut Peppar is the pepper-flavoured vodka Absolut launched in 1986, its first flavour and the first flavoured vodka on the market. The idea came from the bar: a Bloody Mary is vodka and pepper, and the Bloody Mary bars spreading through Boston and New York in the mid-1980s wanted both in one bottle. The taste leans on roasted jalapeño, green tomato and dried herbs. Its bottle followed the range through its redesigns, down to the 2021 version with handwritten wording and an engraved origin.

  4. 1986

Peppar 1986 8 variants The first flavoured vodka Absolut made, and the first flavoured vodka anyone made. The reasoning was practical: vodka and pepper are what a Bloody Mary is, and the Bloody Mary bars opening across Boston and New York in the mid-eighties wanted it in one bottle. Hot and spicy on green bell pepper, chilli and jalapeño, with roasted jalapeño, green tomato and dried herbs behind it — natural flavours, no sugar.
