Art bottles

This collection gathers Absolut art bottles: one-off or small-run bottles painted, customised or built by artists outside the regular editions. The projects are mostly local, born of contests, auctions, anniversaries and launch parties rather than of a global campaign, from a British illustration contest to bottles customised for a Stonewall auction at London Pride. What links them is the bottle used as a blank surface, a shape familiar enough that each artist, from street illustrators to painters like Romero Britto, can make it their own, often in a handful of copies or a single one.

    Ed Marler

    2016 · 1 variant

One of twelve one-off bottles auctioned for London Pride 2016, with every penny going to Stonewall, Britain's leading LGBT equality charity. The British womenswear designer Ed Marler wrapped the Mix bottle in fishnet and finished it with gems and a crown.
