Art bottles

This collection gathers Absolut art bottles: one-off or small-run bottles painted, customised or built by artists outside the regular editions. The projects are mostly local, born of contests, auctions, anniversaries and launch parties rather than of a global campaign, from a British illustration contest to bottles customised for a Stonewall auction at London Pride. What links them is the bottle used as a blank surface, a shape familiar enough that each artist, from street illustrators to painters like Romero Britto, can make it their own, often in a handful of copies or a single one.

    Andrew Hudson

    2020 · 1 variant

An art bottle made for the Absolut Create UK contest by the London artist Andrew Hudson, whose bold, high-colour work takes what is around him as material — shop signage, song lyrics, a conversation caught in passing.
